New application for Mandatory (HMO) Licence

A new (year 1) application is required if you have not previously applied to licence the property. A new application will take around 60 minutes to complete, you should ensure you have the following information to hand:

  • Tenancy agreements (annually)
  • Current annual landlords gas safety certificate (annual certificate)
  • Fire extinguisher inspection certificate (annual certificate)
  • Fire detection and warning system inspection certificate (annual certificate)
  • An accurate sketch plan of each floor of the property and a description of each room (first year applications only).
  • Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) form (first year applications only).
  • Electrical installation condition report (EICR) (to cover a 5 year period)
  • Energy performance certificate (EPC) - If applicable
  • Portable appliance testing report (PAT) - If applicable
  • Emergency lighting inspection certificate - If applicable
  • Asbestos inspection report - If applicable
